The School of Journalism and Mass Communications of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki has announced the opening of the applications period for its English-taught Master’s Degree program in Digital Media, Communication and Journalism.
It is a year-long intensive Master’s programme addressed to aspiring graduates and mid-career professionals in the fields of communication and journalism. The 12-month MA (3 semesters, 90 ECTS) includes a special training programme and offers three distinct choices: DigitalMedia, Culture & Communication, European Journalism and Risk Communication and Crisis Journalism.
The School of Journalism and Mass Communications has in recent years repeatedly featured among the top 50 Media/Communications Schools of Europe and is member of the European Journalism Teaching Association. It has more than 15 years of experience in training international students with its English-taught undergraduate program for Erasmus students. The MA program is based on the School’s 25-year long success in promoting learning through theory-building, cutting edge technical skills and professional training, and reflects its steadfast commitment to innovation, excellence, interdisciplinary education and international outlook.
The application period is open as of February 1. There is no fixed closing date, however, since the program operates a rolling admissions system, whereby admissions decisions are made on an on-going basis, till all the available places have been allocated. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
Moreover, the programme offers opportunities for scholarships, accommodation facilitations and the benefits of a membership at the University Student Club. Finally, students wishing to get acquainted with the Greek language can sign up for free of charge Greek language courses offered by the School of Modern Greek Language.
