Interested in movies and golf, set in a spectacular landscape? Well, the American romantic comedy "Swing away" set on the Greek island of Rhodes might be for you.

Shooting has begun and the cast is already taken with the gorgeous scenery and the warm local welcome. “Yes, the sun really is that red over "blue" waters here in Greece.

Ever feel like the world’s in the palm of your hand?” lead actress Shannon Elizabeth exclaims as she takes snapshots of mesmerizing sunsets and the blue-green waters of the Aegean sea.

The movie revolves around a Greek-American golf pro who withdraws from publicity after a disastrous game and escapes to the village of her Greek grandparents. Producer George Stephanopoulos, an amateur golfer himself, hopes that his film will inspire more young people to take up golf, especially in Greece, where golf is not a particularly popular sport, compared to soccer or basketball. “At the end of the day we want people to walk out of the theatre feeling happy, inspired and free to live their dreams”, he notes.
