International Council of Museums - ICOM and ICOM Greece, in cooperation with the Hellenic Ministry of Culture Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού, have announced the launch of the ICOM Red List of Greek Cultural Objects at Risk, a significant tool designed to help fight the illicit trafficking of Greek cultural heritage.

Addressing the event of the Red List's official presentation, Culture Minister Lina Mendoni stressed the importance of this new tool, pointing out that "today’s event comes to demonstrate that the most appropriate measure to curb illicit trafficking is international cooperation and international understanding".

Constantine Tassoulas was sworn in as President of the Hellenic Republic on Thursday, March 13. Tassoulas will succeed Katerina Sakellaropoulou, Greece's first woman president and former Chief Justice of the Council of State.

Tassoulas, the former president of the Hellenic Parliament, was elected President of the Hellenic Republic on February 12, receiving 160 votes from the 300-seat Greek parliament.
