However, the plenty of social networks, the constant advent of new technologies and the economic limits complicate further their strategic use. The Social Media in Tourism Conference in Athens on April 11, brings in Greece international social media experts and chooses the best Greek practices in order to respond the main question of tourism related companies: How much of time and money should we invest in the Facebook, Tripadvisor, OTAs, search machines and in the entire online presence of our company, so that we target the appropriate audience, succeed sales, attract positive reviews and build a community of repeaters & influencers.

The Greek National Opera presents “Links,” a new work by the company’s recently appointed ballet director, Greek choreographer Andonis Foniadakis. “Links” is based on music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Handel, two composers who were born in neighboring cities in 1685 but never actually met. Through their music and choreography, Foniadakis attempts to create a landscape where the elements of imagination, the subconscious and mysticism alternate and enter into a discourse with raw realism, creating, thus, an ideal “habitat” where the two composers meet. The production features the company’s principal dancers, soloists, demi-soloists, corps de ballet and dance school students. Performances take place on April 3, 6, 10, 19, 22 and 23.
